Get to Know Us
A MAJOR BAND started when Leslie Davis and Ed Blackman decided to start a band in 2020. Unfortunately, the idea was delayed due to the pandemic. During this process of playing the waiting game Leslie met Luis Rey at the local guitar center. The vibe between them was great and they exchanged numbers. A few months later Leslie, Ed and Luis began rehearsing together to see if the vibe was real, and indeed it was! They needed a Bassist to add to the mix and God stepped in and Leslie ran into John Wallace, Leslie's colleague from years ago at a local store. The music department was set, but still missing something. They added three singers, Tameka Hardison, Madeline Gomez and Desiree Davis which added a great blend of talented performers. Derrick McCarty was added to the band in 2023. Derrick, a long time friend of Leslie, brings an array of talents to the mix along with his high energy performances. Chrystal Davis, wife of Leslie, joined the AMB team in the early part 2024.
